Lee, I was interested in your parents' reaction. Here's mine:
My mother claims that she was going to vote for Obama, but believes that Wright's speech makes him absolutely unfit for office...oh, and, incidentally, I have to suppose, Obama, as well. LOL.
My dad never, ever, ever would have voted for him anyway, and thinks McCain is a Communist infiltrator. He's disillusioned with Ron Paul and is hoping to be martyred before the election in the name of all extremely wealthy and privileged white Anglo-Saxon males with Graduate Degrees who have gone before him.
By the way, I'm voting Democratic for President, but don't think my team will win. I hope to be proved wrong, like I usually am.
